Dear Sister Clara
I was very grateful for your letter [which] I had yesterday. It is awfully nice to think of you at H. H. again and I am filled with a warm gratitude that you are there.
[Tonight] is the first night that I have not spoken since I began at Oklahoma City. I take a train soon for Denver and am very glad for the lull.
It has been <an> impressive experience and I am eager to tell you about it. I will be back some time on the fifth -- the morning I hope.
Always yrs
J. A.
