Miss Jane Addams,
Hull House, Chicago, Ill.
Dear Miss Addams:
I am very much obliged for your letter which will be of distinct service when once we get the McMackin issue out of the way. I have not been taking much part in the campaign against McMackin, but if the New York Committee can make good its charges and secure his removal I shall do anything that I can to secure Mrs. Kelley's appointment, and I think that there is a fair chance of success.
Faithfully yours,
December 29, 1904.
