THE LADIES' HOME JOURNAL
PHILADELPHIA
September fifteenth
Nineteen hundred and thirteen
My dear Miss Addams:
I think the peace article for December is just about right, and agree with you entirely that any treatment of it must be other than in the sentimental note.
I am glad to have you say that you have gotten some pleasure out of your fifteen months' connection with the magazine. Naturally, I have enjoyed having you in its pages. I always say that I would rather have you and Doctor Abbott write for me than any two persons I know, and Doctor Abbott is going to follow your department in January. So I am quite happy. [page 2]
With every good regard, believe me,
Very sincerely yours,
Edward Bok [signed]
Miss Jane Addams
