My dear Miss Addams:

The May and June articles have come, and we are glad to have them. I will also be glad to have the further ones upon which you say you are working before you sail.

I don't doubt you really enjoyed writing "The Family and the State," and it is delicious, and very, very clever! The hypothesis apparently possessed you to such an extent that you just couldn't let go, for I think you overrun the limit of words in this article. What a joyful time I will have cutting that article! However, I will have it counted and measured, and, if it needs condensation, I'll deprive myself of the merry moments it would give me, and ask you to do it.

Very sincerely yours

Edward Bok
