My dear Mr. Kent:-
Your letter was <of> much comfort to me because I have been somewhat perplexed by the sectarian attitude which the Progressive Party seems to be developing in certain quarters.
I wish very much indeed that you could come to the meeting of the Progressive Party to be held in Chicago on the 10th and 11th. I am sure that what you would say would be of very great value to the situation. I shall hope to see you in Washington some time during the winter.
With cordial greetings to Mrs Kent and yourself, I am
Faithfully yours,
Jane Addams [signed]
