Biographical Text

Friedrich Fröbel was a German pioneer of early childhood education. He invented the concept of Kindergarten, as well as developing his own series of educational toys, called Fröbel gifts. Fröbel's ideas concerning early childhood education were influential, eventually spreading from Germany to the United States. Fröbel died in 1852.
