Biographical Text

Jenny Dow Harvey furnished the kindergarten at Hull-House when it was opened and became its first kindergarten teacher. She was a member of the Chicago Women's Club. Harvey was also a friend of Mary Rozet Smith. Harvey married William P. Harvey in 1893. They had four children together. Harvey died in 1904.
