My dear Mr. Brownell:
Upon my return a few days ago I found your letter of last summer in regard to a lecture in a very interesting course you are planning in connection with the Medill School of Journalism. I shall be very glad to attempt the topic assigned to me although I am somewhat dubious as to my capacity to deal with it.
I shall be very grateful for any material you can send me in relation to the course and shall hope to attend at least a few of the lectures before I give my own.
Thanking you for your courtesy, I am
Faithfully yours,
Jane Addams[signed]
