My dear Miss Addams:
I enclose a clipping descriptive of one of the South's worst lynchings. As you will notice six Negroes are killed for "suspected complicity" in the murder of one white man. The sheriff left the jail to be guarded by a seventeen year old son.
We are asking members of the Association to write letters of protest at once to the Governor of Florida and also to any newspapers in Florida or the North, they may select.
We shall be grateful to you if you will let us know of any reply or notice that your communications may receive.
