My dear Mr. Landman:

The topic of the "demobilization of racial antagonisms" sounds very interesting. I should like very much to try my hand at it if I had not promised so many more articles than I am able to deliver. I am very sorry that I am unable to comply with your request. I have a number of speaking engagements before March 1st and have even less than the usual time for writing.

With all good wishes for your venture, I am,

faithfully yours,

Jane Addams [signed]

Mr. Isaac Landman,
19 [W] 44th St.
New York.
