Miss Jane [Addams],
Hull House,
Chicago, Ill.
Dear Miss Addams:
This is just to confirm my understanding of our conversation the other day. It was
First, that you agreed to write a minimum of one page for the first Graphic on some phase of the disarmament problem, leading up to the Washington Conference. This to be in our hands at the earliest possible moment, not later than October 10.
Second, that you would send to us as soon as the material was recopied, the manuscript of your new book that we might have opportunity to look over it with the view to publishing a chapter from it in the December issue of the Graphic.
Mr. Kellogg has just returned and is delighted to know that you are writing something for us.
Sincerely and gratefully,
S. Adele Shaw.
Managing Editor.
