Margaret I. Nichols to Alice Thacher Post, September 17, 1917

September 17th, 1917.

My dear Mrs. Post:

Mrs. Karsten left last Saturday morning for a two weeks' vacation and in her absence I beg to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of September 15th. Miss Addams is at present at Lake Geneva, where I forwarded your letter addressed to her. I have also written her in reference to your suggestion about Mrs. Slayden.

I am placing your letter on Mrs. Karsten's desk and you will undoubtedly hear from her when she returns to the city.

Very sincerely yours,

Secretary to Mrs. Karsten
