Dear Miss Addams:
I enclose copy of some rough notes taken this week at an informal meeting at which the executives of various national social agencies were asked to meet with the Survey staff and discuss the relation of the war to social work in this country. We asked them particularly to cover any special war work they are planning to do, special problems they are now facing or anticipating, and [how] in general the social movement in this country may be expected to function during the time ahead.
There is [consensus] of opinion that the meeting was decidedly worth while and that future similar meetings should be held. The Survey profited substantially by it. It was the general understanding that the information given at the meeting and sketched in these notes was confidential insofar as publicity or other outside use is concerned.
Sincerely yours,
SECRETARY.
