My dear [Miss] Hamilton:
I have your letter concerning the proper costume for [Miss] Addams. It is really [a] matter of some importance but I am not an authority on the subject. I shall, however, make inquiry of [some] competent authority concerning university millinery and give you the desired information. My impression is that the hood [is] furnished by the university.
I am delighted to learn that you and other residents expect to accompany Miss Addams.
Faithfully yours,
Dr. Alice Hamilton,
