Biographical Text

Frederick W. Burlingham was a lawyer and businessman associated with Hull-House. He graduated from Harvard in 1891 and was president of its Alumni Association. Burlingham worked as an insurance counselor and investment banker, and as Assistant Editor of Unity magazine, specializing in the "Good Poetry" column.
He was a Hull-House resident who served as President and later Treasurer of the Hull-House Men's Club. He was also involved in the City Association and Allendale Home for Boys.

Burlingham married Sarah McDonald Breck in 1906. They had two daughters, Susan and Barbara. He died in 1924.
