I congratulate The World upon its disarmament campaign. It can certainly be demonstrated that for many nations on the verge of bankruptcy it is a choice between feeding a million under-nourished children and the maintenance of great military establishments. These moments of revulsion against war should be utilized to the fullest, not only for the sake of the children, but that our own country may devote its vast national resources to those humane and beneficent ends [to] which we are dedicated.
