Description
The Kheel Center for Labor-Management Documentation & Archives at Cornell University collects, preserves, and makes accessible rich collections of unique or rare documents pertaining to the history of the workplace and labor relations. Materials include the records of labor unions as well as personnel managers, government agencies, advocacy groups, and labor scholars. They consist of printed and hand-written documents, historical photographs, rare pamphlets, audio recordings, film, and oral histories.
The records of the American Association for Labor Legislation document the organization’s activities to promote uniformity of labor legislation and to encourage the study of labor conditions with a view toward promoting desirable legislation, 1905-1943. The records consist of correspondence, committee minutes, reports, financial records and research documents generated by staff members to facilitate legislative programs.
