My dear Marcet
[I] have meant to write each day since my return to this busy town but waited for my plans to settle somewhat in regard to Bar Harbor.
It is very nice to be back and to have such a cordial reception from many people but the war literature is by no means clear and I find it hard to talk about it, [although] I leave here at 845 this morning for Winona Lake where I talk at the National annual meeting of the Quakers.
I am going to Cedarville next Thursday [page 2] for a few days and will write you from there. I am quite frantic to see you and it seems a long time to wait until August.
My best love to you --
Always yours devotedly
Jane Addams
