My dear Miss Addams:

I most earnestly ask that you come to our great Lincoln Birthday dinner on February 12th. We intend to make it the biggest thing of its kind in the United States. You and I and Beveridge and Bourke Cockran are to be the speakers. I think it of very real importance that you should come.
