Biographical Text

John George Gehring was a physician who specialized in neurological diseases. He opened up his home in Bethel, Maine as a clinic for his patients to stay in. The psychotherapist believed in the power of hypnosis in therapy, which was a part of his method. Gehring also wrote a book called "The Hope of the Variant."

Gehring married Marian True Farnsworth in 1888. They had no children. Gehring died in 1932.
