My dear Dr. Jordan:
Miss Addams has been called out of the city for a few days on account of the death of her sister. In her absence I am sending you a hundred copies of the "Peace that shall last". We shall be glad to send you more if you can use them.
I have left your letter for Miss Addams to see when she returns.
Mrs. Thomas asked me to call your attention to Miss Mollie Best who has been giving her monologues to a number of audiences in Chicago and other places. The enclosed statement from the Davenport, Iowa, Democrat expresses the opinion of many people. Miss Best expects to be in California this spring.
Yours very truly,
Assistant Secretary
President David Starr Jordan,
Leland Stanford University,
California.
