335 SOUTH HALSTED STREET,
My dear Mrs McCormick
May we send you this little brides-chest from the Hull-House shops. The linen was spun woven and dyed by our neighbors, who are still peasants-–as the rough towels testify.
A great deal of affection and interest has gone into the work [although] the result very inadequately expresses our gratitude and good wishes.
