Dear Madam,

We are planning to publish a cheap popular edition of your book "Twenty Years at Hull House" to sell to the public at $1.50 or less. In order to put out this popular priced edition of the book and make it profitable from the publisher's standpoint we telegraphed you on Wednesday asking you to kindly give us your permission to reduce the royalty on this book to ten percent (10%) on the first edition of 3000 copies of this edition.

May we ask that you kindly let us hear from you at your early convenience as if we put out this edition we would like to issue it early in December.
