My dear Mrs McCulloch

I am certainly in favor of appealing to Judge Owens. I was much impressed with your presentation before the election commission and should like to try it out. Miss Abbott and Miss Breckinridge have been keeping me informed of events but the complex motions involved are too much for me.

Mrs Bowen had a [page 2] second operation last Monday and is too ill to consider any thing this week but in general she is for pushing a thing through.

Hoping to see you in Sept.

I am affectionately yours

Jane Addams
