December 22nd, 1913.

Miss Jane Addams,
Hull House,
Chicago, Illinois.

Dear Miss Addams: --

I have now heard from nearly all the members of the Legislative Reference Committee in response to my letter recommending a contract for the completion of the Workmen's Compensation Act, acts Federal and State, by the Drafting Association of New York. I have sent to the Drafting Association a letter, a copy of which I enclose. The Drafting Association is willing to accept this arrangement to start at once on the work but I would like to receive a letter from you stating whether you approve of the arrangement as worded as we may not be able to have a general meeting until after the first of the year and the work should begin at once.

Sincerely yours,

W. Draper Lewis [signed]
