Dear Miss Addams:

I do not wish to appear unsympathetic with regard to our your friend, and if I can be of any service to him by way of literary criticism or suggestion, I shall be very glad to lend my aid. I have seen very little of his work, although he told me he had a great deal of verse to show me. If he feels like sending any of his MSS. to me, I shall be very glad to tell him what I think of them.
