1430 ASTOR STREET
My dear Alice
I reached the House on Friday in time for a conference there at one o'clock and for the afternoon & evening appointments. The Rockford [Ass'n] met at H. H. on Saturday noon, and I am at Mrs Bowen's today, trying for a start on my [Biennial?] paper.
I think of you all a great deal of the time and that affairs are going well with the household.
Mary Smith left for Newport [page 2] with Mrs Herrick on Friday, a telegram came this morning saying that they had arrived safely.
I am sending some pictures of Waukegan that are pretty poor but may interest you, and as always with love to the family including Marcet, who I hope arrived on Saturday. Always your loving sister
