My dear Mr. Lighty,

I will write to Mrs. Jones upon my return from Memphis. I leave here Sunday night to attend the Conference of Charities and Corrections, but will hope to see her after that.

Please have other speakers on the evening of May twenty-first. I never understood that I was to be the sole speaker, and I am sure I would not have enough material.
