While traveling in Europe recently, my son Roger, who a few days ago graduated from Princeton, wrote me a letter commenting upon your book "A New Conscience and an Ancient Evil"

I thought it would interest you to know how your great books strikes the young college man -- and what [page 2] a wholesome influence it exerts.

You need not return the letter. Roger is an enthusiastic Progressive and organized the Progressive Committee of Princeton which carried the District.
