Dear Miss Addams:
Since I had the pleasure of talking with you a few weeks ago I have been thinking of the possibility of a book on a subject in which I know you are interested. I was, therefore, the more struck when the other day a man who happens to be an anti-suffragist remarked that if you would only write a book on Woman Suffrage it would be worth reading. Will you not consider this? It seems to me there is great need of a sober, dispassionate summing up of the situation and I believe a book from you at this time would have a great influence.
I am
Very truly yours,
