My dear Miss Abbott
We didn't talk about the [enclosed] clipping after all, but we must do it when you come up. I do hope that you and your sister are coming, it is worth making a real effort to see all this beauty-- We are going to be fuller in Sept. than in Aug. so please bring up "E. Abbott" as soon as she arrives.
Mary McDowell is resting [page 2] and sleeping as is your humble servant.
It was fine to see you in Boston but I want this visit to continue!
Mary Smith & Mrs Bowen send their love and many hospitable wishes.
Always devotely yours
Jane Addams.

This pencil is due to outdoor writing.
