[Miss] Jane Addams,
Hull House Chicago.
Dear Miss Addams: --
The colored people look upon you as one of their best friends and will believe what you said, or say.
The Newspapers said that you would offer some thing in the interest of the colored people, and that it would go into the Progressive Platform -- did you do that -- and why did it not go in the Platform? Now -- I am not writing to publish what you would say to us as colored people -- you are our friend, and it will not be printed.
Now -- tell me why did not your matter in our interest go into the Platform?
Very truly, and respectfully,
Theophile T. Allain

1. Yes on [Miss]
2. I'd suggest "Newspapers" with a capital letter.
3. I see "some thing" and would suggest [ ] if you would like to join the two.

Thanks again, David. You are correct and I am editing the transcription!
