Biographical Text

Gersh Isakov-Itskov Gershuni, also known as Grigori Andreyevich Gershuni, was a pharmacist, Russian revolutionary, and a socialist political leader. Gershuni graduated from the Kiev University in 1897, with a degree with pharmacy studies. As a socialist political leader, Gershuni was a founding member of many revolutionary groups in Russia. His actions as a revolutionist got Gershuni sentenced to life in prison in 1904. In 1906, he escaped from prison and lived in exile around the world. One of the places Gershuni stayed while in exile was Hull-House.

Gershuni died in 1908.
