Biographical Text

John Davison Rockefeller Jr., son of John Davison Rockefeller, was an American Philanthropist and financier. Rockefeller worked as the director of Standard Oil. He later went on to work as the director of J.P. Morgan's steel company. Rockefeller devoted most of his life to charitable causes, such as the USO and the creation of national parks. He also worked with Rockefeller University and the International Education Board. Rockefeller died in 1960.

Rockefeller married Abigail Greene Aldrich in 1901. They had six children together: Abby, John, Nelson. Laurence, Winthrop, and David. Aldrich died of a heart attack in 1948. Rockefeller married Martha Baird in 1951.
