735 PARK AVENUE

Dear [Miss] Addams

Let me thank you on your article on Recreation for Young Girls in Cities, reprinted, which I [page 2] have just read. Provision for that is one of the best things Settlements do. Our [Miss] Trenholm, at East Side House, is really a wise Mother [page 3] to hundreds of girls. So is [Miss] Williams and I might multiply names.

Why do you never let me know that you are coming to [page 4] New York?  I want you to know Mrs. Wheeler. Do not forget your old friends in the multiplicity of new.

Faithfully

Everett P. Wheeler
