Dear Miss Addams,
Here is a little scarp toward the W.I.L. summer school. I wish that it were more.
But I want to send you my adulation for one of the great experiences of my life, in the flash which those two days gave me of what might be, of what is if we had sense enough to recognize it. The practical value of that whole series of meetings seems to me simply beyond expression.
In Cleveland I hear so much of gratitude and delight in the meeting there. You must be very glad, again, to have been the channel through which such things can happen.
Affectionately yours,
