May 15 1924.

My dear Miss Addams,

I want to thank you for your telegram of encouragement and appreciation, and to assure you that nothing that I have ever done has given me keener satisfaction than making it possible for at least three hundred of our citizens to hear these distinguished visitors and maintaining or perhaps reestablishing the right of free speech and free assemblage.

I am hoping to come to Chicago for part of the Institute. Meanwhile I extend to the "Pax Special" and to you my dear Miss Addams my cordial greetings. Yours sincerely

Setty S. Kuhn.
