My dear Mr. Davies:
We should be most happy to have Mr. Laufer come any day to examine the material which is at present in our so called Labor Museum. Several years ago, however, the Art Institute came over and took all of the best textile exhibits, an arrangement made, [I believe] through Mr. Charles Hutchinson, and I am afraid there is very little left that would be of value.
As I am quite familiar with the material, I should be glad to be here when Curator Laufer does come. I leave for New York the twenty-first to be gone for ten days but shall be here quite steadily until then.
Faithfully yours,
Jane Addams [signed]
