Dear Miss Addams,
The following official request has come in from Frl. Heymann. You have probably received my circular letter of February 17 putting to the vote the proposal to undertake new business only if approved by two out of three of the following persons: the two Vice-Presidents (Mrs. Swanwick and Frl. Heymann) and the Secretary-Treasuerer. Six out of ten of our Executive Committee have already voted in [favor] of this proposal. I suppose that you vote is on the way.
What do you think of Frl. Heymann's Proposal, the one enclosed herewith?
How very much I wish you would be with us at our June meeting!
Always affectionately yours,
Emily Balch [signed]
