My dear Mrs Lovett

How good you are to Louise, why should you have given the child more dishes [although] nothing has pleased her more and the whole family shares her gratitude and appreciation. [page 2]

I was sorry not to see you at the very end, and felt quite jealous when I called on Mrs Tippett.

This island is beautiful albeit somewhat foggy which is of course bad for Mary's asthma. Is there any chance for you to get away, it would be so nice to have both Beatrice and yourself and we would plan a family party whenever you named the happy date. Mary unites with in love to you both. Always devotedly yours Jane Addams
