My dear Myra
I tried to crochet another little sweater for Mary Melissa but it did not turn out well as you will see.
I am sending it on that she may wear it in the darkness of the night on the sleeping porch. I am putting in the package a pair of stockings for you, a Japanese machete for Stanley and two little Indian fans for Jane and Myra -- they must regard them as presents [for] the baby.
It was so nice to have your letter and [illegible].
My love to you all -- Always your loving aunt
