Dear Madam President,

I beg to add to this first letter I have to forward to you from headquarters the expression of my most heartfelt thanks for the comfort your kindness has given me in these hard times.

I shall do my best to deserve it by working here with the devotedness I always felt for our cause which I judge the most important for humanity.

We are expecting with great [page 2] hope your answer to the invitation of the Executive Committee; your being in the chair would give to our Hague-Conference a world-wide importance and attract prominent American people whose presence is so very desirable.

With kindest regards

yours gratefully,

Vilma Glücklich
