My dear Miss Addams:
I am sorry that you were not able to write out your June address in order that it [be] sent out to the alumnae early this fall. A number have spoken about it and I assured them it would be done. Had it been humanly possible to get an accurate court stenographer to take down your address, we would have it in excellent form without trouble to you. I fully appreciate how difficult it is to recall what one has said under such circumstances. I practically never write out an address myself and usually forget the greater part of what I have said after I have said it. However, if at any time you can set yourself to the task, I wish you to know how much it will be appreciated.
