Biographical Text

Charles Palmerston Anderson was a Canadian theologist. He immigrated to the United States in 1891. In 1900, Anderson became the Bishop Coadjutor of the Episcopal Diocese of Chicago, and then a diocesan bishop in 1905. In 1929, he was elected presiding bishop of the Episcopal Church of the United States but passed soon after. Anderson died in 1930.
