Your letter of Feb. 27 is here. The 12 postal cards of the M. I. are being sent.
I learn that after all one woman is to be added to the medical Public Health Commission of the League of Nations. I have good reason to hope ↑wish↓ that the name of an American woman should be [illegible] proposed. Miss Wald was suggested but as the appointment is to be made on purely technical grounds the medical degree seems to be help essential. Dr. Hamilton has also been suggested but they want some one whose work has [lain] in the field of public health not of industrial hygiene who I think there is a certain feeling perhaps that to take a specialist in the latter field would [page 2] seem like treading on the persons of the Int. Labor Office. The at Council meeting at which the appointment will be made comes early in May so if [illegible] any suggestion to be so presented it should reach me ↑come in↓ well documented as soon as possible.
