19th. November, 1921.

Dear Miss Jane Addams,

Mrs. Scheu-Riesz from Vienna is in London and I met her [today]. She is doing what she can to make public her idea with regard to education, namely that a suitable selection should be made from all the best literature in the world and should be used in all schools for reading books.

I believe she brought forward this suggestion at the Congress at Vienna and the enclosed paper works it out in detail. She is very anxious to get this article published in America and I thought that probably some member of your Press Committee at Hull House might be interested in getting it into the Chicago papers.

I promised to make a copy of her article and send it to you, because as you may imagine she is terribly busy and very glad of the little help that I can do.

Yours very sincerely,

M. Emmeline Pethick Lawrence [signed by secretary]
