Biographical Text

David M. Bressler immigrated from Germany to the United States in 1883. He was a charity worker associated with the American Jewish Committee. Bressler was the director of the Industrial Removal Board at the start of the 20th century and helped direct Eastern European immigrants to job opportunities in the United States. Bressler worked with the American Jewish Committee, the American Hebrew Congregation, and the National Refugee Service.

Bressler married Irma Loeb in 1908. They had two children. Bressler died in 1942.
