Miss Jane Addams,
Hull House,
Chicago, Illinois.

Dear Miss Addams:

The printers should mail you tomorrow six of the first copies to come from the press of our new Survey Graphic. This first issue is, of course, altogether experimental. It may be six months before, in format, contents and treatment, we shall have struck a standard. Therefore, I should appreciate your criticism at any and every point.

In the three introductory pages -- 131, 132, and 133, -- and in the editorial on page 184 and 185, you will find the general working principles which we have had in mind.

Won't you put the additional copies in the hands of people whose interest you can enlist in this new venture.

Sincerely,

Item Relations
