Biographical Text

John Martin worked for American Association for Labor Legislation and was a member of its Auditing Committee and General Administrative Council. He was one of the few members who was not a social scientist and instead was a coal mine owner and philanthropist.

Martin married Emilie D. Martin in 1861. Martin died in 1910.
