Dear Emily Balch

I have quite a collection of $10, from the U.S.A. delegates ↑for the Vienna baking plan↓. Shall I send it on to you or to Frau Hertzka or shall I bring it along with such other sums as I have for general purposes? I will wait until I hear from you.

I have sent only one hundred dollars to Miss Royds for the feeding of the Salzberg students and am finding it unexpectedly hard to get the money together for any purpose. It is due I think to the general financial uncertainty rather than to the unpopularity of our cause.

I am [enclosing] a sample of the letter I am using and of the circulars which we are sending out to some and all. Please advise about the money by cable if you think best. I do hope that the trip in the Balkans was all you hoped, both the Mexican and Japanese delegates are coming on finely. Always devotedly yours

P.S. Would advise me to come first to Geneva ↑landing at France↓ and from there to Vienna or to go on to Holland and direct to Vienna perhaps seeing something of the Quaker feeding on the way? I am much interested in the Immigration Conference planned for Geneva in August and it might be better to be there then. I await advice.
